Trading:

To make a buy, sell, or exchange in your current account, you will need to speak directly to your advisor. EFS cannot accept trading direction from an e-mail or from a voice mail.

Please contact your advisor at 507-625-1778 or 800-669-8101.

If your advisor is not available, you can also make the trade yourself by calling the company directly. You will find an 800 number for that company on your most recent account statement. In our "Links" area we have a listing of the most widely used companies that we do business with. This listing includes the company names, addresses, phone numbers and also has a direct link to their website.

Address Changes:

If you have moved and need to change your address, please let us know. We will change your address in our system and contact the companies where you have accounts and inform them of your new address. Please note that certain companies may require your written consent to change your address. You can contact us by:

  • Calling our office at 507-625-1778 or 800-669-8101.
     
  • E-mailing your advisor's assistant by clicking on their name below. For verification, we will need you to give us both your old address and your new address.

Account Values:

If you would like to know what your current account values are, you can either:

  • Call our office at 507-625-1778 or 800-669-8101 and speak directly to your advisor or to their licensed assistant.
     
  • E-mail your advisor or his licensed assistant by clicking on their name at the bottom of the page.
     
  • Contact the company directly by calling the 800 number for that company on your most recent account statement.
     
  • You can also visit a company's website and register with them on-line. This will allow you to access your account for values and activity via the Internet. In our Links area we have a listing of the most widely used companies that we do business with. This listing includes the company names, addresses, phone numbers and also has a direct link to their website.

Making Additional Investments:

If you'd like to make additions to your current account, you will need to contact your advisor or their licensed assistant by calling 507-625-1778 or 800-669-8101.

Completing Forms/Applications:

If you have questions or need help completing any of the different investment sponsor forms, National Planning Corporation forms and/or applications, you can either:

Status on Pending Applications:

If you have questions on your pending application for insurance or fixed annuities, you can either:

Starting Death Claim Procedures:

If you need help processing a death claim for a life insurance, variable annuity or fixed annuity policy, you can either:

  • E-mail your advisor or one of his assistants by clicking on their name below.

To begin processing a death claim, we will need a certified copy of the deceased person's death certificate for each investment or insurance product that purchased through our office.

Information Changes:

Making An Appointment:

If you would like to make an appointment to see your advisor, please call our office at 507-625-1778 or 800-669-8101 and speak with our receptionist, Jill. She will find a convenient appointment time for you on your advisor's calendar and send you a confirmation letter with information on what to bring with you to the appointment.

Please be sure to let them know what type of appointment you need to make:

Initial Appointment: Please bring along as many of the following documents as possible, which will help us review your estate and financial situation:

  1. Your present will(s).
  2. Financial statements and last year's income tax statements.
  3. Your life and health insurance policies, along with copies of your most recent statement(s).
  4. Long term care policy information.
  5. Recent statements from your investments, including IRA's, Keoghs, or other retirement plans, annuity contracts, and CD certificates.
  6. The "Confidential Family Information Sheet" that will be enclosed with your appointment letter.
  7. Anything else you feel is important to your financial plan.

Second Appointment: Your confirmation letter will be tailored to your situation and instruct you on which particular items you will need to bring with you to the appointment.

Annual Review: It would be helpful if you can bring along as many of the following documents as possible:

  1. Your present will(s).
  2. Financial statements and last year's income tax statements.
  3. Your life, health, and long term care insurance policies, along with copies of your most recent statement(s).
  4. Recent statements from your investments, (including IRA's, Keogh's or other retirement plans) annuity contracts, and CD certificates.
  5. Anything else you feel is important to your estate and/or financial planning.

Quarterly Review (for managed accounts): You will not need to bring any items with you.

Attorney Appointment: A confirmation letter tailored to your situation will instruct you on which items you need to bring.

Tax Appointment: A confirmation letter tailored to your situation will instruct you on which items you need to bring.
